Our Story
Beranek Electric and Mechanical started in the early 1970s with one truck, a set of hand tools and a simple way of doing business: answer the phone, show up when you say you will, and stand behind the work. Northwest Wisconsin was smaller then, and a contractor's name traveled by word of mouth, so the work had to be right the first time.
More than fifty years later, that hasn't changed. What has grown is the scope. What began as residential wiring across Barron County now covers full electrical and mechanical contracting: service upgrades and rewiring, heating and cooling, generators, equipment installs and new construction for homes, farms, shops and commercial buildings across six counties.
We still work like a local shop, because we are one. The same crews handle both trades, so there's no finger-pointing between electrical and mechanical and no waiting on a second contractor. Estimates are free and explained in plain language. When something fails at two in the morning in January, somebody picks up.
